Packaging for a Secret Santa present for a coworker. SPOILER ALERT: It's a framed collage.
I built a small box from a PBR 12-pack and a slipcase from a page of a book about chandeliers.

Foreign Mothers
I made this mockup LP cover for my friend Kana's band Foreign Mothers out of images I shot at their last show at Trailer Space in Austin, TX. They're loud, love K Records and Kill Rock Stars, and Kana screams so hard a tendon in her neck pops out. This image draws some loose, cerebral, inspiration from the cover of Sleator-Kinney's Dig Me Out.
New Collages!
Over the past two months I have been producing an open-ended suite of small collages made from book trimmings and various wet media. They're about 3.15" x 5.5" and each rests in a stained, pine frame.
Native Spaceships
Seven Horizons
Cosmic Slugger
Noble Veil
Here Comes Petal
Cat Nap Mecca

Here's a new paper collage illustration for the forthcoming issue of The Hypocrite Reader. This one focuses on a Heartbreak Hotel, a "Liminal space between journal and world."

Bibliophones
I made these Bibliophones from a deconstructed book to illustrate this article in The Hypocrite Reader on shifts in literary depictions of music from the Enlightenment onward.

Dolphin Antagonism
Oil on Acoustical Floor Underlayment, 2009
This piece was salvaged by Jack Randol, who is one of the greatest people on Earth. After I reclaimed it, he and his roommates each made their own replicas, all of which were more awesome than the original. I need to find images of those, it was the biggest compliment I've ever received.
This is a hard-drive gem from spring '09.
A goat skull was lodged in a crack on the side of a mountain in Ireland, so I pried it out and drew it. Later, in America, a friend of mine revealed he had stuck it in there only the year before when he stayed in Ballyvaughan. And was upset that I had disturbed it.
